Sydney Sallabanks , President
Sydney Sallabanks is the 2010 president of the Idaho Chapter of Public Relations Society of America. As director of Public Relations at Stoltz Marketing Group, she leads the agency’s strategic communications and public relations practice.
Having practiced public relations for two decades, Sallabanks has particular expertise in media relations, crisis mitigation, public affairs, strategic communications and signature events.
Sallabanks most recently was principal at Gallatin Public Affairs where she was responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans and managing media relations for a diverse group of clients.
Sallabanks is a board member and lobbyist of the Idaho Press Club. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism.
Joanne Taylor, Past President
Joanne Taylor is an independent PR contractor and consultant. She has more than 25 years of pubic relations management experience, and has held the top PR spot at three publicly-traded companies and at a Boise, Idaho- based agency. She teaches upper-level PR courses at Boise State University and is passionate about furthering the profession of public relations.

Rick Phillips, APR, Treasurer
Rick Phillips is the manager of public affairs for the J.R. Simplot Company AgriBusiness Group. He was a founding member of the Idaho Chapter of PRSA and has served as the organization’s treasurer since its formation in 2005.
He also serves as chairman of the Greater Idaho Chapter of the American Red Cross, and as a member of the St. Luke’s Childrens Hospital Advisory Board. He was accredited in public relations by PRSA in 1997.
David N. Compton, APR , Secretary & Accreditation
David is a founding member of the Idaho Chapter and served as its first president. He is the owner of Compton Communications, an Eagle Public Relations and Web development company.
He is the former senior technology strategist for MicronPC and senior administrator, U.S. Air Force Web Information Service in Washington DC. He was accredited in Public Relations in 1993.

Mary Frances Casper, MSPR, Ph.D, Member-at-Large
Mary Frances Casper is an Assistant Professor of Communication at Boise State University and serves as Public Relations Certificate Program Director. She is the faculty advisor to the PRSSA chapter at Boise State University. She is a member of the PRSA Educator’s Academy, the National Communication Association, and the International Communication Association.
Beth Toal, Assembly Delegate
Beth Toal is System Director of Public Relations and Communications for St. Luke’s Health System. She serves on the board for the Idaho Chapter of PRSA. In addition she is a member of the PRSA Health Academy and currently serves as the Academy’s Board Secretary. Locally, Beth is a director for the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for Idaho Voices for Children.
