PRSA IDAHO APPOINTS RAMBO AND FRIESZ TO BOARD
New board members will focus on member development and monthly programming
BOISE, Idaho — May 27, 2025 — The Idaho Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA Idaho) has announced two new appointments for its board of directors. Mindi Rambo will serve as membership director and Lynda Friesz as Western Idaho activities chair.
“We’re pleased to welcome Mindi and Lynda to these key leadership roles,” said PRSA Idaho President Malcolm Hong. “Their wealth of experience and passion for professional communications will strengthen our chapter’s impact across Idaho.”
Rambo will be responsible for helping drive membership growth, engagement and retention in the chapter. She has served as a public affairs specialist for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service since 2015. She holds a master’s degree in English Literature from Ohio University and her career began as the society editor for a small-town newspaper in Eastern Oregon, progressing to larger papers in South Carolina and North Carolina. She then spent eight and a half years with the National Parks of New York Harbor, managing communications for iconic sites like the Statue of Liberty and Grant’s Tomb.
Friesz will lead and manage Western Idaho activities that foster professional development and networking. She is an adjunct professor at Boise State University and previously worked in corporate communications for companies such as Micron and Albertsons. In these roles, she was responsible for strategy, reputation management, stakeholder engagement and more. Notable career milestones include planning an 18-city press tour for the Winston Tour Rodeo Series, managing a nationwide sponsorship program for Bull’s-Eye Barbecue Sauce, and creating a benchmark public involvement process for transportation projects. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication and her MBA from Boise State University.
